This is the culture section of our blog. Here, you’ll find some topics such as what is culture, cultural differences, and cultural practices from around the world.
More so, you’ll get first-hand insights into the world of languages and festivals that are held around the world.
To start with, culture is defined in simple terms as the people’s way of life. To some, it is seen as the ideas, customs, and social behavior of a particular people or society.
Furthermore, it can also be said to be the “characteristics and knowledge of a particular group of people, encompassing language, religion, cuisine, social habits, music, and arts”.
At some point, the Center for Advanced Research on Language Acquisition defined it as “shared patterns of behaviors and interactions, cognitive constructs, and understanding that are learned by socialization”.
The word “culture” derives from a French term, which in turn derives from the Latin “colere,” which means to tend to the earth and grow, or cultivation and nurture.
