During the course of our search, we decided to take a trip to the Instagram account of one of Nigeria’s finest fashion designers, Brown Inspired.

Brown Inspired is a force to reckon with when it comes to bespoke men’s wear in Nigeria.

That’s not what we’re going to talk about today. Instead, we’re going to talk about combining colors of two senator wears to create a perfect outfit.

Combining Colors of Different Senator Wears For Male

A quick look at the image above shows a combination of different colors to create a unique outfit. One prominent color in the three outfits above is the yellow color.

The yellow color was chosen because of its ability to blend with and project the rather neutral looking navy blue colored senator wears the gentleman was wearing.

How did he choose the color in particular?

The color wheel is a great place to start looking at colors.

The first thing you should know when you look at the color wheel is to be able to identify the primary colors. As a kid, I learned in Fine Arts class that primary colors include Red, Blue, and Yellow.

Primary colors are simply colors that you can’t get by mixing two or more colors together. They serve as the building blocks of other colors.

On the other hand, there are secondary and tertiary colors. Secondary colors are colors that are derived from a combination of primary colors. E.g. Orange, purple, green, etc.

And lastly, the tertiary colors are the colors you get when you mix a secondary color and a primary color.

You’ll also hear terms like

  1. Complimentary colors which refer to the colors that are opposite themselves on the color wheel.
  2. Analogous colors which refer to colors that are next to each other on the color wheel.
  3. Tridaic colors which refer to three colors of different hues that go hand in hand

Taking these things into consideration, we find out that dark colors like black, navy blue, etc. often need a lighter color to brighten it.

On the other hand, brighter colors like yellow, red, green, etc. often go with dark colors to tone them down and tame their brightness.

As a man that wants to make a great fashion statement in any senator style you wear, a little knowledge of the color wheel will go a long way to help you combine colors effectively.

Take a look at the combinations below.

For this senator wears for men that he’s wearing, you’ll notice that two or more colors are combined to make the outfit.

There’s the blue with a touch of white and even red to seal the deal.

You can easily finish off the look with a pair of black or brown shoes or sandals.

Black would be better, but with the presence of a red stripe on the cloth, brown will be just fine.
