Max Alexander has already sold numerous pieces that are now being sold for $1,400 each.
“We have a family rule where he donates a third to whatever cause he chooses, saves a third for the future and then the third-third he can spend on materials or whatever he wants,” Madison said.
Alexander’s Instagram page brought him to fame despite being already talented. Initially, he started the account just to show his grandparents his hobby.
However, it grabbed the attention of 1.7 million strangers who gifted him many sewing gadgets. Alexander admits that he loves the machines almost as much as his designs.
With his popularity and creativity, he has been invited to New York Fashion Week, where he will design a swimsuit line for a pop-up show.
Alexander designed a unique type of swimwear that consists of seven layers, including a puffy-sleeved swimsuit.
To aid in the creation of his designs, the accomplished first-grader hired a team of seamstresses. According to Madison, Alexander’s goal is to make women feel beautiful.
